Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes made national news last year when she stood up to the Trump administration to protect our state’s voting records. She is a champion of voter rights, ensuring that we have fair elections. She has revolutionized our voter registration process with quick online voter registration in addition to paper registration.
Over the past several months, Alison has been working closely with veterans on bills. One bill (HB 166) is for the legalization of medical cannabis. Another bill called Boots to Business would make it easier for veterans to start small businesses.
Alison fights for the rights of everyday Kentuckians on a daily basis, and we are proud to welcome her as a speaker at our County-wide Bourbon County Democrats Meeting on Monday, March 19th. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Bland Building in Legion Park. This event is free and open to the public. Please bring friends and family.
